We recently got back from Denmark where we visited with Denniz's Aunt Saeedeh, and her family, and her other Aunt Soheila from Iran even came! I'll have more to say about that later, though I just *had* to share this really bizarre picture I took at the Arhus Art Museum. Art? Or not? You decide.

Congratulations to all Americans! We have participated in making history, and elected Barack Obama, one of the most promising, energetic and uniting people I have ever seen as our 44th President elect. There's a lot of work ahead, and many of us will need to make sacrifices to realize a return to the prosperity we as a nation have enjoyed in the past. Good luck to as all.

Well ... I finally bit the bullet and decided to move my domain to a colo. I had always hosted it locally out of my home over broadband, but on occasion, depending on whether Road Runner was down, or (*shock*) my linux box had crashed, the site would be inaccessible. Unfortunately, after the lightening strike (didn't I mention our house was struck by lightening?) my linux box has become a little flaky, and has been crashing every 3 or 4 days.

I had been meaning to move the server offsite anyhow for multiple reasons. Another one of these reasons being more data protection from disastrous events. That is to say, losing my computer would mean losing *all* the pictures of my family, and that would be a tough pill to swallow. So I have moved kadz.net off to linode.com (it's hosted in their Dallas facility). For the technically savvy check them out. I'm not usually one to put in a plug for anyone, but for the price I'm paying, it's a great service and really easy to use!
